design process

this was created through a multi-stage process:

• planned detailed measurements and selected complementary hardwoods to highlight color variations and grain patterns
• cut and prepared individual hardwood strips, arranging them strategically for wood contrast
• glued the strips together
• surfaced the board using planing and sanding techniques to achieve a smooth, flat, and even finish
• chamfered the edges to enhance aesthetics
• finished with food-safe oil, enhancing the wood and protecting against moisture
